How Islam came to India and why now it needs to go from India

I had started writing about this in the summer. With Autumn, my professional duties have caught up with me and I have been slower in my sequence output. I am still in the process of typing up a reference list of material I have drawn upon, and I think it will be daunting to go through the list itself once I feel it has the minimum required to do justice to the topic. I simply hope that readers will do their own investigations based on my meagre expositions and come to their own conclusions.

Here I am providing the link to the beginning of the sequence, and links at the bottom will take the reader to the subsequent posts in the series. I start off with enslavement under Islam, followed by early Islamic invasions and Indian resistance, the role of Islam in the economic decline of India. I have tried to address certain critical elements in the propaganda of what I choose to call the Thaparite school of Indian history, like the story of the expensive “horse”, stories of Hindu-Muslim “amity”, real or imagined destruction of cultural icons of non-Muslims. Yet to come, is removal of capital, destruction of educational system and its impact on research and innovation, impact on society and customs, failure of Islam even in its propagandized “plus points”, failure of Islam to modernize, continuing role of Islam as a barrier to all round social, economic and intellectual progress.
